Mace spray is just another name for pepper spray. So when you are out and about looking for what type of spray to buy, you can buy mace sprays or pepper sprays, it's up to you. Finally last but not least we have the question as to whether or not mace sprays are harmful to humans, or just used to deflect bad guys. No known studies I am aware of have declared mace sprays deadly to humans. Mace sprays are used mainly as a distraction to give a victim time to run away in case of an attack. Also, mace sprays are made mostly of all-natural ingredients like capsaicin which is extracted from peppers like chili's and habaneros. If you ever find yourself worried as to whether or not mace sprays will harm you attacker, remember this, YES they will. They will not kill them but hurt them, and hopefully bad enough to never want to mess with someone like you again.
